Marco Carmassi \ Camargo horse
Camargue is a flat, locally swamped area in the south of France, in the delta of the Rhone river - the birthplace of the famous white camargue horses.
Camargue is one of the oldest breeds in the world and probably lives in this area since prehistoric times.

Like most old breeds, it's difficult to pin down their origin.
Perhaps it is associated with horses from Solutra, whose petrified remains were found during excavations in the southeast of France in the XIX century and attributed by archaeologists to the Paleolithic period.
It may turn out that the white horse was grazing here in the days of the first people in Europe.
