Leonard Filgate - an artist with great ability and incredible diligence, determination to learn and succeed. As a child, Leonard loved to roam the streets of San Francisco by bicycle, spend hours in art museums. Later, he spent five years traveling throughout Southeast Asia, the South Pacific and the Mediterranean while serving in the US Merchant Marine. Leonard making art for over 40 years, his work has included everything from marine painting for the United States Navy to theatrical headpieces for Japanese television. Art that he creates now gives him the greatest satisfaction.
